My name is Harley, I am a 9 yr. old neutered male who lost my happy home when my owner became
terminally ill. A good friend kept me for a time but just was unable to
keep two dogs. Harley has been well cared for though still needs to lose a
few pounds to be at optimum weight. He is a sweet guy who loves nothing
more than to be with his people. He gets along with other dogs but can be
possessive about common bowls. He would do best to be with a female or be
the only dog. As with all Corgis he loves his food and is learning to wait
until the food bowl is on the ground before dining.

Charlie has had his cruciate ligament surgery and is recovering well. This 5 yr. old boy will make a special pal to the right family. He is ready to meet a new family that will continue with his rehab. This consists of limited mobility and confinement when not supervised. He is not ready to jump or run at this time. Charlie does well with some other dogs though not all. I think he would really love a home where he could be the only dog with someone that is home quite a bit. He also needs a corgi savvy owner as he had few rules in his younger life and needs good structure to help him be at his best.

Daphne is a 5 yr old female who lost her home as they had to downsize. She loved her back yard and really did not like living in such close quarters. She became quite bold with the other dogs in the home and soon began fighting with them. In her foster home she has made good buddies with the resident and have even begun sharing the same bed. She is most possessive of her food and needs to be fed crated or in a separate room. She has a potential adopter coming to visit very soon.

Another new member to our rescue crew is Timmy. You can tell his life has not been good. He is feeling quite poorly as he has some severe skin problems, his feet are so swollen it is hard for him to walk. He has a bad case of hookworms that have made him quite weak. He is very thin and generally feeling lousy. He is now in foster care with one of our volunteers that has quite the knack for bringing these guys back to good health. Timmy has a long way to go before he is ready to find a new home. He is guessed to be 4 or 5 years old. He was found as a stray.

Jerry is a lovely two year old boy who gets along wherever he goes. He is great with all humans, other dogs and seems to be fine around the horses he has visited. He does like to chase a cat but means no harm. Jerry has a pending adoption.

Smokey is a new fellow in our program. He is a black headed tri colored fluff. Smokey is five years old and will be further evaluated in his foster home before being placed. He is neutered, current on vaccinations. He has had some issues with other dogs so we will have to make sure that he has a home where he can be an only dog. He loves people and children. He does have quite a fear of thunderstorms and will need a denlike place to be at this time. He has spent a good part of his life outside so may need a refresher on his housebreaking skills.
|

Bella is a three year old girl who came in to our program as she and the other corgi girl could not get along. Bella is active and in need of a corgi savvy owner. She is very friendly but has had very few rules in her past. She would do best in a home that enjoys obedience classes and possibly wishes to do some agility. She will need an outlet for her energies. She would also enjoy good brain stimulation.

Meet Dewey. He is a lovely mature sable fluff boy that is just gorgeous! He was found as a stray and after ten days of trying to locate his owner unsuccessfully he was surrendered to rescue. Dewey is not yet ready for adoption. He needs to have a good veterinary examination, have his vaccines updated, heartworm tested and make sure there are no hidden problems. So far he seems to be a kind fellow and is doing well in foster. He is marking a bit in his home but this is not unusual for a boy that may have lived outside or that is in a new environment. This handsome boy should soon be available for adoption to an approved applicant. |
The following dogs are currently in foster home for evaluation.
They are yet to be available.
|

Beckham is a lovely sable boy who recently joined us after being uncomfortable with a toddler in the home. He is neutered, current on vaccinations. We are still evaluating this boy but he seems to be fine with other dogs. He is people friendly but would do best with children ten and over. He is overweight and will need a diet and exercise program to achieve optimum health.

Lacy is a lovely tri colored girl. She was taken out of a very busy shelter. We have no history. We do know that Lacy suffered a very unkind past. As you can see she is missing part of an ear and has a hole in the other. She is currently being treated for a skin condition and being evaluated to help us choose just the perfect home for her. Lacy deserves lots of love and a comfortable forever home. Bless her heart she still loves people and knows how to trust.

Brady came to our program quite stressed causing a multitude of skin issues and stressful behaviors. His parents took care of him the very best they knew how but their life was a bit overwhelming with small children and a dog who seemed to always have a problem. Our update tells us that his new home is just what he needed. His coat looks great and he much calmer and a more active family member. Hooray for Brady!
